Smoking in pubblic area

It is hot issues in my country, especially in Jakarta, that the govt of Jakarta province had make regulation about smoking in public areas.In this regulation, people do not allow to smoke in some public area, they must smoke in special area called "Smoking Area". This regulation makes Pro' and Cont', why?
The smokers said, "It's not fair, because it's my money I spent to buy this, and this my mouth I use for it, so I,m free to smoke everywhere, every time". Then the cigarette factory said, " We pay tax, we have thousands people worked on our factory!" How can be the govt make this regulation? It will make our factory bankrupt and thousands people become un-employee?
I'm not smoking, I agree with the regulation, why? Because the regulation just banned the smokers to smoke in public area, no to banned them to smoke everywhere, so they still can smoke in smoking area. This just to protect the other people didn't smoke from the bad effect from cigarettes.

THE VII INTERNATIONAL NIGHT

Last Thrusday, we had been held the VII International night in Pusdiklat Bahasa Dephan. I think it's very useful for us. We chalange to create our stand and a performance to show Australia. It make us getting closes each other, not only from D-class but also B,C, and E-class. It makes me getting along with the other students.
In other hand, i got much information about another country such us Pakistan, Australia, United States of America, Filiphina, India, Singapore, Kamboja, Malaysia, Saudi arabia, Rusia, Japan, South of Korea and China from their stand, such us their culture, traditional food, language and tourism site just in one night.
For thats event our group KIBI Australia stand perform The Australian Parliement House, Kangoro doll and Waltching Matilda song with Bush Dance. The Chinese class perform China Town replic and Barongsai. The Japanese class perform Japan Restoran replic and their uniform like samurai, sumo, ninja and Geisha, KIBI America students perform Movie world and The American Idol Parodi, then Russian class perform the Kitchen of Russia and Rayuan Pulau Kelapa song in Russian, Arabic students perform stomach dance. India students perform dance like in their movie.

Did you knew the result? In the end of this event, the commite choice the chineses stand as the best, the second is Japaneses stand, and the third is KIBI America stand's. For the performance our team with Waltching Matilda song and Bush dance became the best.

Where is the justice?

Last week while I drove my car around Surabaya city I heard an interested discussion from Suara Surabaya radio. It was verry interested for me. It was talk about the last national sports even in Indonesia The 16 National Sports Week (PON/Pekan Olahraga Nasional)

It was held last month in East Kalimantan. This event held every 4 years to found the next generation Indonesian athlete to raise international achievement, like in olimpic games, Asian games etc.

On the last event, East java province succed became the general winner with 139 gold medals, 113 silver medals and 111 bronze medals. DKI Jakarta became runner up with 119 gold medals, 117 silver medals and 122 bronze medals and East Kalimantan as the third position with 116 gold medals, 111 silver medals and 114 bronze medals.

To appreciate this succed, East java province government give their athlete with big bonus. 100 milions for gold medal, 35 milions for silver medal and 25 milions for bronze medal. That was mean the govt must spent about 20 billions rupiahs.

It was make pro’s and con’s from the athletes and East java society. For athletes it was to small if compare with other province, but for people it was enough, but they disagree with special regulation for them. Depend on national tax regulation every bonus must be charge for tax. But in this case it subsidy by the govt, so they got their bonus full without tax charge. The people thinks it was not fair. Athlete received millions rupiahs but no tax charge in other side the staf of election commission just got about 100 thousands rupiahs each month as their salary but they must pay the tax.

I think that’s not fair, because when the athletes join concentration of practice they got pocket money, transportation fee and many others special facilities like hotel, special food etc. This budget came from the tax from all of the people, but why they didn’t pay tax? How about your opinion for this case?
